Review - Cute little place - right across the street from a larger sushi place. Excellent service and a nice sized menu. Very good rolls - it is BYOB!

Review - Great little sushi restaurant! The food is fresh and tasty; the service is great and the price is extremely reasonable and much cheaper than the other sushi restaurants in town. Great value for the money.

Review - First off, the food is excellent! They lose 2 points for the small beverage menu. BYOB is cool though. If you sit up at the bar and make good with the chef, he hooks you up! Extra pieces of sushi is always welcome on my plate. He'll ask you what you like best and make something special with your favorite fish. Menu selection is above average and the prices are just right. The atmosphere is cozy, quiet and just right for people who like to relax and enjoy conversation. There is a larger sushi place right across the street- it has good food but it's geared for more of a hang-out type crowd (full bar, DJ, and a lot more people) If you like excellent sushi and enjoy quiet surroundings and great service, Ubu takes first place.

Review - If you're looking for great food, the sushi at ubu is the best you will find in hoboken. Try the special rolls that they post daily.

Review - I've been to Ubu's for lunch and dinner for the past 3 years and have never been disappointed in the quality of the sushi or the service. Even when I didn't realize it was BYOB they served me saki on the house. I've eaten at other sushi restaurants in Hoboken - Robongi, Maru, Sushi Lounge, but none compare to Ubu's superb, savory selection of fish.
