Review - Michael is very talented, bringing pieces of both Mario Battali and Craig Shelton, both where he worked, to this Italian restaurant; wonderful outside garden with lasagna at midnight seemed as if we were in an Italian Piazza; fall menu Northern Italian includes fantastic meat dishes.

Review - This restuarant was in a word elegant. Without being pretentious, the service was excellent. The food was extraordinarily good, especially the dessert pastries, which are apparently made on site. Our particular favorites included the ricotta gnocchi and and bucatinni. The cozy atmosphere added to the old world feel that only made the innovative cuisine even more impressive.

Review - Let's face it, the Hoboken dining scene is miserable. It seems as though Hoboken restaurants want residents of this fine city to have to cross the river to manhattan for a memorable meal. The Jefferson is attempting to reverse this trend, and does a decent job. The ambience is elegant and cool with very dim lighting and the service is good, although they were a little eager to take away some of our dishes. The food is authentic, somewhat new Italian, with some great selections. Although they don't always execute, it's nice to see a restaurant in Hoboken at least try something authentic and unique. The appetizers we had were very good, pastas were okay, and entrees were good. The main drawback is the limitation of the menu-- there is just not that much to choose from and not many specials. If you are a wine drinker, the wine list is impressive, one of the better ones that I have come across in Hoboken. There is certainly room for improvement here, but let's hope this restaurant is a sign of things to come for Hoboken.

Review - This is a standout Italian restaurant serving food that is of a very high quality. We got the same waiter on both visits whose service was outstanding. They also offer a Bonny Doon Red which you cannot buy in Sparrow.

Review - Outstanding! Everything about this restaurant was impressve. The staff was professional, courteous and friendly. The decor, elegant; the food makes you want to come back and try more. I started the meal with the chicken liver bruschetta. Had I not ordered the veal chop, I could have eaten the bruschetta all night. The veal was perfectly cooked at medium rare and melted in my mouth. The wine list had many great selections without being overwhelming. I wll definitely return for dinner and I'll try brunch there too.

Review - Like most places in Hoboken it tries hard and has the best of intentions but somehow misses the target. Why would a a beautifully designed and well lit Italian restaurant play a Gypsy Kings CD on repeat? Aps are good - especially the Salumi which comes nicely served in the traditional butcher style. Mains are so-so. They're nicely presented but offer form over substance. For example the veal chop is massive and looks great but on the two occasions I've ordered it, my jaw ached from excessive chewing. Deserts, like the aps, are solid and the wine list is not at all bad. Lose the Gypsy Kings, tighten up the mains and this could be a local gem.

Review - One of the best meals I have ever experienced. The service was phenomenal, and my dinner was great. The menu is not your typical Italian menu, it was quite unique. The atmosphere is also very nice. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Review - The food was good and the ambience is lovely. However, they charge 13 bucks for a glass of wine. Please. The Plaza and the Carlyle don't charget that much. They need to come down in price in order for me to go back there.

Review - Portions are hillarious! There are too many other restaurants with nice portions at a reasonable place. Decor is romantic but come on?
