Review - This studio gets a perfect score; the reason I would have the audacity to make such a bold statement is that quite frankly, for the money, you really can't beat the professionalism you will encounter at Palisade Studios. I'm a confessed audiophile with Major and Indie label interest, and having my songs mixed by Scott (Kammerer) at Palisade gave me a superior product that eventually caught the attention of my new management group...long story short I'm going on my first national tour later on this summer starting in June. I know that good songwriting is the core for any successful project, but Scott allowed me to attend all the sessions for my material and really gave me a unique and trained perspective for mixing that I came to depend on. His intense and varied work history at studio's like the Hit Factory for example, has if nothing else, honed his ear via hands on work experience...This guy has worked with Wyclef Jean...Janet Jackson...Hell he trained with Shelly Yakus... (We're talking the legend who recorded Imagine with John Lennon to name but one impeccable record in Yakus's Career) And wellon top of all that he was nice enough to put up with me agonizing over our tracks every step of the way.
Scott is not only a standup guy, but hes realistic, and hes a musicians musician. He will only try to offer you production advice if he really feels you would benefit from it as a client, because he cares about the songs hes got his name stamped on.
His prices are more than fair for the effort hes always shown my band, and I have nothing but confidence in him as a new found friend and colleague. We will be working again in the future I promise you that.
In closing I'd like to say that this guy is for serious musicians who need a critical second set of ears in that all too daunting quest of finding your own Voice In the industry. If you are trying to make your project feel professional and alive he might be just what youre looking for.
