Review - We save Edward's for truly special occasions... service is superb, meat is cooked exactly to order (rare means RARE) and John the Waiter always drops by our table to chat! Decor is old boy oak, brass rails and low ceilings in the bar, airy, light candlelit dining room upstairs. Desserts are just as delicious, the Icebox cake is our personal favorite. Winelist impressive.

Review - Edward's continues to progress and is on its way to becoming one of the primer steak house this side of the Hudson. Took the folks there for dinner and we had a wonderful meal. The steaks were perfect and the pork mignon was even better. The portions are generous (Dad is a big eater and even he was satisfied). The service was attentive without being annoying. All in all a great place to treat visitors to a woderful meal.

Review - I absolutely loved this place! My boyfriend took me there for my birthday and we had the best time. The steaks were amazing and the wait staff was so attentive. The icebox cake is superb! LOVED IT! Most underrated restaurant in JC. Warning: It is a bit pricey.

Review - Like the last reviewer, I agree - Jersey City desperately needed this. They started out a little rough - slow service being the main issue, but seem to be working out the kinks. I've been there 3 times since they opened in January, and each trip gets better. The steaks are excellent - I'd say in the top 10 for the NYC area - and the portions are large while still being reasonably priced. As of mid-April, they now have a porterhouse for 2 on the menu, and the creamed Spinach, which isn't even on the menu, is the best anywhere.

Review - Down Town JC finally has a real steak house, just like a New York steak joint!!.... This was the buzz when Edward's finally opened it's doors. I am disappointed to say that the next time that I have the desperate urge for a giant piece of half mooing grizzle, garlic mash, asparagus, shrimp and all of the other steak house essentials, the trip will involve a PATH train. In short, Edward's is just not ready. The overly receptive staff is so eager to make a first impression that it is almost uncomfortable. The smell of fresh paint has yet to fade and the dark dining room lacks character. The steak could not shake a stick at the ones served at my favorite places and the sides did not make an impression. Perhaps they opened too quickly?

Review - The service at Edwards was remarkable. We went on a fairly crowded Saturday night and our waiter couldn't have done more for us. The presentation of the food was lovely and it tasted just as good as it looked. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the portions were very filling, perhaps too big. Edwards is a great pick!
